We operate in Twelve or Six Month blocks. You can start in any month, and we give you the current month free! (ie you get 6 or 12 months from the end of the current one) One Subscription covers you for both MacTel Iconex and MacTel Metro. To all the prices below, ADD VAT.
If you are not a subscriber, you are limited, not only in what you are able to download, but in time on line per 24 hour period. We make most of the conferences available to all, however, as we want you to sample for yourself how interesting and voluminous the conferences are before you plunge your funds into a subscription. A subscription increases your time to over 3 hours a day, and gives you unlimited downloading access to the files areas.
Please do not forget that a BBS is a community thing, and that you are not only here to feed off the system, but to contribute to it. We give free subscriptions to substantial providers of chat in the news conferences, or to uploaders of interesting and topical files.
•••• For MacTel (standard subscription)
• Subscriptions are £20 for six months, or £34 for 12 months, per head. Private payment.
• If you are a Corporate user - eg you are getting the company to pay for the sub, or you want several names under one payment, it is £30 for 6 months and £50 for 12 months.
•••• For MacTel GOLD (Internet Access)
• This allows you access to UseNet news conferences, and to have private EMail to anyone who is also able to use Internet, anywhere in the world. You may also, in a modest way use LISTSERV facilities, but you need to ask our permission as this could become exceedingly heavy on the phone bills. We may charge a per-K rate on this last feature, depending on volume.
• Email and UseNet are free on time and volume, for the simple flat fee of £10 per 6 month period, or £2 per month extra over the MacTel subscription for less than 6 months.
• If you require Internet access BY ITSELF and not MacTel, then the rates are exactly the same as for an MacTel subscription without Internet. If you subsequently add to this, a normal MacTel sub, then it is £2 a month.
